TFP/Collaborations

TFP is Trade For Photos
I’m primarily a TFP photographer because I’m not in this for the money. I simply love creating amazing photos and working with amazing people.
TFP Is For:
- Building portfolios
- Social media content
- Content that we both benefit from
- Creative fun
- Learning. If you’ve never modeled before, or if you’re an experienced model, you will learn something.
TFP Is NOT for:
- Family, wedding, couples, commercial, event photography, etc.
- Anything that you will get paid for: Only Fans, Patreon, books, album covers or thumbnails for music streaming services, etc.
How I Do TFP
Communication is key. I expect prompt and professional communication. Let’s treat this as if it’s a full-blown paid commercial shoot.
Feel free to throw ideas at me. Keep in mind that I’m not an elaborate theme photographer. My main focus is the person I’m photographing. I’ll throw ideas your way, too. Keep in mind that it’s a back and forth endeavor. If I throw an idea your way and you’re not into it, please say so. This is artistic collaboration.
People are always welcome to bring someone with them to a shoot as long as they’re not intrusive. Keep in mind that I may ask them to help with holding lights, scrims, reflectors, etc. It’s all part of keeping costs down for me. It’s not a requirement.
Comfort and safety is key. You won’t be able to make the best photographs unless you’re one hundred percent comfortable and completely on board and feel safe with what we’re doing. Be open, honest, and completely upfront in this regard. I’ll do the same. Hopefully, if we’ve both done a good job communicating beforehand, this shouldn’t be an issue.
I’m not a proponent of practicing in front of a mirror or posing in general. Practicing in front of a mirror can be useful to find your body angles and things that you may or may not be comfortable with, but a mirror is not good when practicing posing in general.
If you’ve got some experience and you have a handful of go-to poses, great. But I generally push the flow and drift as much as possible. This generally results in photos that are more candid in nature and are more likely to stand out among your existing portfolio photos.
I don’t do mini sessions and I don’t do rushed. If you commit to a shoot, expect to spend at least two hours at the shoot. You may be used to working with other photographers who slam a creative shoot in 30 minutes to an hour and send you on your way. That’s not how I do it.
If we schedule a shoot and you need to cancel or reschedule, let me know at least 24 hours in advance.
After The Shoot
I’ll send you a link to low resolution, unedited, watermarked photos that you can choose images from that you like. Keep in mind that these are for OUR EYES ONLY.
I’ll edit a minimum of eight images. These will be optimized for social media. When you post them, please don’t edit them or use filters. I don’t do watermarks because it looks horrible and amateurish, so you don’t have to worry about that.
If you post them to social media, please tag me.
I won’t post anything on social platforms until after I ask you if you’re OK with it (except for images that you’ve posted). That means that I’ll send the image to you and ask if you’re OK with me posting. If you are, great. If for some reason you rather I not, that’s fine, too. I won’t. However, this does not include images that I may put on my personal website portfolio.
